Weetbix triathlon

On the 24th of March at Ongley Park we held the Weetbix Kids Tryathlon. We had loads of fun. The ages you could do it was  7-15 yrs old. The order of the racing was swim-bike and then run.

My favourite part was the swim. It was a freezing day and my friends and I were huddling up together like little penguins. They heated the lane pool outside at the lido so it was like a warm spa.

At the end of the tryathlon we got an apple, iceblock and don't forget about a medal. At 2:00 we had prize giving. Weetbix donated $300 to our school for having the most kids that completed the Weetbix Triathlon.

My least favourite part was the run because it was so tiring and I was puffed. The only part of the run I liked was the end because I felt so good and proud of myself.

That was my first Weetbix Kids Tryathlon and it definitely won't be my last because I'm going again next year.

172 College Street Kids entered the Weetbix Tryathlon this year!

Favourite classroom space

My definit favourite spot to work is on this table in the hub! We can laugh and have fun but we can also work hard and get things done easy! It's so nice here because if it's hot we can open the windows and if it was cold we could turn on the heaters. This is such a great spot and I'm glad I can work in the hub.

Hauora Classroom Spaces.

We have four amazing rooms in our class, each room is based on Hauora. The hub, The hide out, The hang out and the hall of fame!

The hall of fame is the inspirational room. For example I would go there to get a computer. The hide out is the silent room. For example I would go there to work in peace. The hang out is the social room. I would go there for an inquiry meeting and the hub is just all of the rooms mixed together. I go to the hub for work shops with the teachers. They help me in my daily life to learn. I will go to the hang out to talk and have meetings. I would go to the hide out for some silence. I would go to the hall of fame for relaxing and I would go to the hub for help and team work!

I love to work most in the social room because its quite and comfortable  to work in. You can also talk to your class mates. The hub is good for work shops with the teachers! They help us work in fun ways. The hall of fame is were all the stationary and computers mostly go. Other than the safe.

I love learning about hauora because it helps me learn and focus on my work.
